Dunseith Public School

UPDATED INFORMATION: Dunseith Public School will release at 12:20pm for the Elementary School and 12:30pm for the Jr. High & High School, today April 12th. We will be doing Virtual Learning for the rest of the week, Wednesday & Thursday. Stay Safe & Happy Easter.

As you know a severe winter storm is forecasted for our area. This weeks scheduled Athletic Banquet is rescheduled for April 20th. All after school activities for Tuesday April 12th are rescheduled for April 19th (Family Fun Night.) The regular School Board meeting will be held April 20, 7:00 am. in the Elementary Library. We will have school as scheduled Tuesday morning April 12th. The storm is predicted to hit our area about 7:00 pm on Tuesday. If conditions deteriorate on Tuesday morning or early afternoon there will likely be an early release for students and staff. Please stay tuned for early releases and school cancellations.

Football meeting will be at 4:30 at the high school on Thursday 04/07/2022. Meeting will be held in the lunch room, this will be for all 7th -11th grade students interested in FB. Thanks, Coach DeCoteau

Due to Boys Regional play - Thursday, March 10th, 2022, the Elementary School will have an early release at 1:20pm with the High School releasing at 1:30pm. There will be no Pre-K Thursday. Also, the High School will have tutoring available on Friday, March 11th in the Library, for any students needing the extra help. Have a great evening!

On February 15, 2022, the Dunseith School sent thirteen Elementary and Junior High School students to the Dakota College in Bottineau to participate in the Regional Spelling Bee competition. The students faired very well and we at the school are all very proud of their participation and accomplishments. A special recognition is extended to: Alyahna Pelter who took first place in the fifth grade. Xavier Burcham who took first place in the third grade. Temperance LaForge who took second place in the fourth grade. Braxton Azure who took fourth place in the sixth grade. Cassie Siose who took fifth place in the third grade.

Tonight 2-22-22 at the Elementary school, we will be hosting a Family Math Night with supper being served from 5pm - 5:30pm and activities from 5:30pm until 7:00pm, hope to see you there! Also, tomorrow night 2-23-22 is our scheduled Parent/Teachers Conference from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm. Elementary School will be releasing students for the day at 2:45pm and the High School releasing at 3:00pm, so teachers and staff can have a supper break from 3pm-4pm. Dunseith Public School will be running 2 hours late, students report to school by 10:00 a.m. and staff report to work at 9:30 a.m. Please make sure students are dressed warm and appropriately for the cold weather. Due to the recent loss of a long-term employee, Dunseith Public Schools will be doing Distant Learning on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. No students will be in the building. School will resume as usual on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Thank you!
